Sgt  Arthur Jack Smith, 1603158, was killed on active duty on September 12, 1944, while flying with 70 Squadron.

His nephew, David Thornton-Smith has contributed these pictures and would welcome any information pertaining to his uncle.

David writes that there is a tantalising clue to Sgt Smith's final operation on the following page from the website devoted to James J. McIsaac, RCAF:    http://natureonline.com:80/37/26-op16.html

Could Sgt Smith have been killed on the raid over Bologna Marshalling Yards - and does the page contain a picture of  Sgt Smith's stricken Wellington?
