"Took off 22.45-22.50 from
LG 104. Last heard of at 02.49. The aircraft was later found
by army personnel, crashed in the forward army area, 70-80km south of
Bomba, DBF. Two bodies were found, but their graves could
not be located post-war. All are thus commemorated on the Alamein
Memorial"
